Interlacing software
Interlacing software is the most important software for lenticular technology because this software codes the frames and creates the file that you will print. That means that interlacing software assumes the main care about the quality of future lenticular picture.
As you know all lenticular pictures consist of from two and up to 40 and even more frames. The frames could be prepared on computer or shot using digital camera. Lenticular technology lets us to make several types of effects. There are Flip, Morphing, Animation and 3D.
Flip lenticular effect
Flip lenticular effect is an effect when one picture changes to another depending of viewing angle. Usually Flip picture consist of two frames. The frames could be absolutely different (picture 1) or have just small differences (picture 2).

You can shoot the frames using digital camera or generate the frames on computer.

Morphing lenticular effect
Morphing lenticular effect is an effect when one subject smoothly changes to other subject depending of viewing angle. Please, see two types of Morphing lenticular pictures below. There are friendly jest (picture 3) and classical morph picture (picture 4).

Animation lenticular effect
Animation lenticular effect is an effect when you see some subject motion depending of viewing angle (picture 5).

You can generate the frames on computer or shoot the frames using digital camera in "continuous shooting mode".

3D lenticular effect
3D lenticular effect is an effect when the pictures were shot from different angles and then all of these frames are coded to one interlaced picture. Usually the 3D lenticular picture consist of from 6 to 40 and even more frames (picture 6).

3D effect could be combined with Flip and even with Animation effects as you could see on computer generated picture "Fawn" created by 3D Artist - Jim Malyshev (picture 7).

The frames could be generated on computer using one of 3D software, like 3D Studio Max, for example, or shot using digital camera and special multi shooting device, like Tripod Add-on.
